Get organised with Dymo LetraTAG Labels

As someone that's forever mislaying their car keys understands being disorganised can be quite frustrating and a compelete waste of time. The best way to get organised is to have a specific location for everything - if you always put you keys in the same place you will always know where to find them.

So buy a Dymo LetraTAG, or leave them in a particular drawer by the door. For your other household items, there are lots of items readily obtainable for stacking away all kinds of objects - boxes, archive files for important documents, plastic cartons for childrens toys, etc.

But another thing you also want is a labeler to mark it so you know what's in the cartons and files without being forced to rummage through each one. Listed below are several ideas for organizing your house:

  • Utilise the DYMO LetraTag labelmaker to label the shelves in your larder. Because you will have a specified location for every type of foodstuff you will easily be able to tell when you are running out of that particular item.
  • Label plants by labeling them with the plant names and watering & light requirements. Stick these labels to lollipop sticks and put them in the soil near the back of the plant pot.
  • Tidy Up your office by using clearly labeled paperstack trays for day to day documents, hanging files for documents you will access now and again, and archive boxes for documents that you realistically aren't going to need to see, but are required to keep just in case.
  • Shed install shelves and drawers for all of the tools, nuts & bolts and other odds and ends
  • Put labels on food before putting it in the freezer. Make sure you list the type of food and the current date on the label, and even better would be to print the date it needs to be used by.

The USDA has a table of freezer storage for different foodstuffs on their internet site, it would be useful to print it out and keep it near the freezer to help calculate the use by date.
